When Chris Larson founded Larson Binkley in 1987, he applied his business background to high quality engineering practices. By providing a unique customer focus, the company grew quickly from handling local projects to providing engineering services to national companies building new offices and storefronts across the country. In the early 90s, Larson Binkley designed 300 Discovery Zones and numerous switch centers for Sprint, and our staff grew from 15 to 40 people. When Kohl's became a client in the mid-90s, our business base and reputation were solidified in the retail sector, where we have the benefit of many ongoing, productive relationships today.

Around the year 2000, Larson Binkley began designing more high performance office buildings. In the process of researching new technologies for these modern facilities, we became more aware of and committed to systems that would be energy efficient for the long-term benefit of our clients and the environment. We are proud of our leadership role in the design and installation of "green" systems, and enjoy working with companies who share our philosophy.
